Vistara is finally on the verge of putting the finishing touches on its flight services from 12 November. The merger declaration of Vistara with Air India, Tata SIA Airlines, has cleared that the bookings will be available till September 3, 2024, and the airline shall travel only up to November 11, 2024.

They have also declared that the loyalty program points and the lounge access till the flying date shall be available and accessible. After this, the unused points will turn into Air India’s points, and lounge access will be invalid. The airline has also mentioned that whatever booking is available after the exit date, shall automatically convert into the tickets of Air India and that the passenger with the booking shall be auto-notified about it.

Before the closure, Vistara Airlines on its website said, “If you have an existing booking with Vistara for travel on or before 11-November-2024, your flight will continue to be operated by Vistara and there is no impact or change in your booking. Starting 03-September-2024, customers will progressively not be able to make bookings for travel after 11-November-2024, i.e. 12-November-2024, on Vistara. For travel after 11-November-2024, you can book via the Air India website, www.airindia.com, or through the Air India mobile app. If you have an existing booking with Vistara but your journey is after 11-November-2024, i.e. 12-November-2024 onwards, your flight will be operated by Air India”.

As per timesofindia.com, it is being said that it was a three-decade-old dream to partner Air India with Singapore Airlines, which is soon going to happen. The CEO of Air India, Campbell Wilson, has reached out to X (formerly Twitter), stating, “The joint team looks forward to offering our guests an expanded network, additional flight options, an enhanced frequent flyer programme... grateful for the support of our loyal customers through this next phase of building a world class, world scale, global airline with an Indian heart" to the employees on 30-August-2024.

Both the airline merging together are looking forward to ensuring that their collective customers and travel experience is not compromised and that the new travel experience shall be the smoothest of transitions.
