Every airline has its baggage policy, and when it comes to Vistara then, they have provided flexibility to their ticket holders in terms of baggage allowance.

Vistara Baggage Rules.

Find the Vistara rules before taking your bags. Here are some of the major key points of Vistara baggage policy given in simplified steps.

Hand Baggage.

• In economy, you can take up to 7 kg, In premium economy, you can take up to 10 kg, and Business Class, up to 12 kg is allowed.
• The dimension is allowed to be no larger than 55cm(22 inches)  x 40 cm(16 inches) x 20 cm(8 inches). 
• Children and adults are entitled to the same allowance for cabin baggage.
• Any carrycots, collapsible pushchairs, or strollers are not included in cabin baggage and must be checked in. 
• All the baggage that is not within the limit of the baggage needs to be checked in.

Check-in Baggage.

• The check-in rules are different on different routes on which you are flying. 
•  When flying within India,
  • Your allowance for economy class is up to 20 kg.
  • For Premium Economy, your allowance is up to 30 kg.
  • For Business passengers, they can carry up to 40 kg. 
• When flying on the route to Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Dhaka, Colombo, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Muscat, then your baggage allowance is-
  • For Economy customers, the allowance is up to 35kg.
  • For Premium Economy, baggage allowance has an upper limit of 40 kg.
  • For Business Class, Your luggage allowance is up to 45 kg. 
• When flying to Mauritius, 
  • When traveling in Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class, one can carry up to 2 bags, which must not exceed 23 kg of weight, and for Flexi travelers, it must not exceed 32 kg weight for each bag. 

Excess Baggage.

• Within India, per kg, there will be an INR 600 charge. 
• The excess baggage charges are different on any other route, which is up to $220 per kg. 

Oversize Baggage. 

• In case you are carrying baggage that exceeds the limitation that has been defined for every traveler, then it will be counted as oversized baggage, rules will be applied, and extra charges will be subjected accordingly. 
• The oversize limit defined for travelers is 62 inches or 158 cm in linear sum. 

Lost, Damaged, or Delayed Baggage.

• When baggage is lost or delayed, one must immediately contact the Vistara lost and found department and inquire about the baggage. 
• Travelers can request for the compensation in case the baggage is lost or found damaged as per the terms and condition.
